It is a very well-known fact to all the Sports lovers and even the ordinary people that, one name which immediately comes to mind hearing about the Tennis profession is that of Roger Federer.

Born on the 8 th Of August, Roger Federer is one of the highly acclaimed tennis professional belonging from the Swiss background. In today's time, Roger is ranked number one in every tennis ratings worldwide.

He has got that innate skill related to the tennis profession which is very evident from his achievements and success in such a young age of just 25 years. Roger has been the winner of eleven Grand Slam men's singles titles in an altogether of 33 appearances; he is also the holder of three Cups with Tennis Masters titles and also 13 ATP Masters Series titles.

Roger got the honor of being the first man ever in the year 2004 to win three of the four Grand Slam singles tournaments in a row played in exactly the same year. Which were the Australian Open, U.S. Open and Wimbledon.

He is also the only man in the Era of Opera to win altogether of ten singles tournaments f the three consecutive years from 2004 to 2006.Together with this in the same three years he also holds the title of the only man to win the Wimbledon and U.S. Open singles titles.

Then recently in the year 2007 he emerged victorious in the third Australian Open title where he again became the only male player to win three individual Grand Slam tournaments at least thrice.

Roger enjoys the number one position worldwide since the early 2004 till date. He also holds the honor of being the top-ranked male player for the longest time period, at a stretch.

Just a few months ago in the month of April he was named Laureus World Sportsman of the Year, which was for the third consecutive time. Finally in the month of July, he equaled Björn Borg's open era record of five consecutive wins at Wimbledon. This made him the final and the most supreme player of the tennis profession ever in the history of the game.
